Actress Apu Biswas is set to return to the big screen after a brief hiatus with the thriller film "Durbar", directed by Kamrul Hassan Fuad. The filmmaker confirmed on social media that the film will be released in theatres during Eid al-Fitr.

Shooting for "Durbar" began in December last year. The newly released poster shows Apu Biswas with blood smeared across her face, wearing a mysterious smile and standing in a dance-like pose with her arms stretched out, hinting at the film's intense and suspense-driven tone.

In the film, Apu Biswas stars opposite actor Abdun Noor Shajal. The cast also includes Jannatul Noor and Sanju John, among others. The screenplay has been written by Abdullah Zahir Babu.

"Durbar" marks Apu Biswas's return to cinemas following a break from major releases, and the thriller genre is expected to showcase her in a different light. With its Eid release announcement, the film has already begun to draw attention among audiences anticipating festive-season releases.
