To promote Bangla cinema to a larger audience, the largest film festival of Bangla language ‘Amar Bhashar Chalachchitra 1429’, organized by Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS), will take place at the TSC premises of Dhaka University from February 5 to 9.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has reinstated popular actress, producer and social activist Jaya Ahsan as its goodwill ambassador in Bangladesh, effective from Thursday. Earlier, the anthology horror series received an official selection at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in December.
