‘Ityadi’ heads to Narsingdi for new episode
The popular entertainment programme “Ityadi” is heading to the historic district of Narsingdi for its latest episode, which was filmed in front of the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Library and Memorial Museum in Ramnagar, Raipura.
The episode will air on Bangladesh Television (BTV) on Friday, June 5, following the 8:00pm Bangla news bulletin.
Written, directed, and hosted by Hanif Sanket, the programme will feature a folk-fusion performance by Emon Chowdhury and his band Bengal Symphony. The song has been jointly written by Jewel Ahmed and Kabir Bakul, while Emon Chowdhury has also composed and arranged the music.

The episode will open with a musical presentation highlighting the history, heritage, and culture of Narsingdi. Written by Moniruzzaman Palash, the song has been composed by Hanif Sanket and arranged by Mehedi.
As in previous episodes, local history and traditions will take centre stage. Segments will highlight the archaeological site of Wari-Bateshwar, Narsingdi’s traditional handloom industry, Baburhat—often referred to as the “Manchester of the East”—and the district’s GI-recognised products, including Amritsagar bananas, Burmese grape (lotkon), and Colombo lemons.
The programme will also feature human-interest, educational, and international reports, alongside comedy sketches, dramatic segments, and audience participation features.
