‘Bonolota Express’ leads Eid box office in fourth week

Five films released this Eid-ul-Azha have entered their fourth week in theatres, with Bonolota Express emerging as the top earner among multiplex audiences.

The figures are based on ticket sales from multiplex chains across Bangladesh and do not include overseas earnings.

‘Bonolota Express’ tops the chart

Directed by Tanim Noor, “Bonolota Express” has been screening at major venues including Star Cineplex, Blockbuster Cinemas and Lion Cinemas. Featuring a star-studded cast led by Mosharraf Karim and Chanchal Chowdhury, the film has recorded a gross of Tk 6.10 crore in its fourth week.

‘Domm’ holds strong

“Domm”, directed by Redoan Rony and starring Afran Nisho and Puja Cherry, continues to perform steadily. The film has earned over Tk 4 crore in multiplex gross sales so far.

‘Rakkhosh’ draws steady audience

“Rakkhosh”, directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy and starring Siam Ahmed, has grossed Tk 2.68 crore. The film is currently running in multiple multiplex chains and has expanded to 55 single-screen cinemas nationwide.

‘Prince’ sees moderate returns

“Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka”, directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud and starring Shakib Khan, has earned Tk 1.92 crore in its fourth week. The film, centred on Dhaka’s underworld, had a pre-release booking value of Tk 3.78 crore.

‘Pressure Cooker’ continues run

“Pressure Cooker”, directed by Raihan Rafi and produced by Impress Telefilm and Kanan Films, has collected Tk 1.42 crore in multiplex sales. The film stars Shobnom Bubly and Nazifa Tushi, among others.

Industry insiders say the figures reflect a competitive Eid season, with multiplex audiences continuing to support a diverse lineup of local films.
