On the occasion of the 75th birthday of the late Prabal Chowdhury, a renowned artist of the "Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra", his son musician Ranjan Chowdhury has re;eased releasing a song titled “Akash Bole Tumi Tumi”. Subhamita Banerjee, another popular artist from Kolkata, has given voice to the song.

Thrash’s newest release “Hellbound” is a meticulously articulated narrative on oppressive establishments of authority and social hypocrisy, which is done using a character named ‘Bagha’ acting as a ‘Dervish’ (a member of a religious order, who has taken vows of poverty and austerity). The song alludes to how individuals denying religious and social stratification for good deeds are subjected to harsh repercussions for defying social norms or prejudice.

After a break of 2 years, “The Art of Rock” concert is back this year with 2 days of rock performances by 14 noted bands. The fourth edition of this concert will be held at the Liberation War Museum, in Agargaon on the August 26 and 27.
