Malaysian cops on hunt for Bangladeshi over murder of countryman

Malaysian police are looking for a suspect, said to have a scar on his left arm, whom they believe is linked to the murder of a Bangladeshi man in Klang.

North Klang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh said the man, identified as Joynal Abadin, is also a Bangladeshi national.

"On May 8 at around 2pm, a fight broke out between two men at a used car shop in Bandar Baru Klang.

"The victim was believed to have been murdered after being hit on the head with a weapon.

"At the same time, the suspect was cut by a knife. The cut was about 21cm long on his left arm," she said in a statement on Thursday (May 20).

She added that the suspect ran away after seeking treatment.

"Those with information on the suspect are urged to contact the North Klang police at 03-3291 2222, or investigating officer ASP You Swee Leong at 012 407 1452," she said.
