Body of newborn found in Dhaka’s Gulistan

The body of a newborn was found in Dhaka's Gulistan area this morning.

The body of the baby girl wrapped in a towel was on the footpath beside the Mahanagar Natya Mancha.

On information, a team of police recovered the body around 8:00am and sent it to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy, said Gopal Chandra Roy, a sub-inspector of Paltan Police Station.

Police are suspecting the corpse was left there last night.
