Zila parishad polls: Jamalpur SP withdrawn

Superintendent of police (SP) in Jamalpur has been withdrawn for his alleged biased role ahead of the upcoming zila parishad elections.

"The home ministry came up with the directive following a recommendation by Election Commission," Deputy Commissioner of Jamalpur Shahbuddin Khan told our local correspondent.

SP Md Nizam Uddin has been attached with police headquarters, he added.
