People urged not to be confused about new motor vehicle act

The Road Transport and Highways Division today called upon the people not to be confused by the rumour and propaganda about the “New Motor Vehicle Act (amendment) 2019”, on social media.

The “New Motor Vehicle Act (amendment) 2019” and the information on various types of punitive action under the Act are completely a rumour and propaganda, said a handout of Press Information Department.

A vested quarter is spreading the rumour and propaganda through the social media, the handout said.

There is no such “New Motor Vehicle Act (amendment) 2019” in the country, the handout added.
