Youth hurt in blast while making bombs

A youth was injured while making bombs at Gulshi village in Kirtipasha union under Jhalakathi Sadar upazila yesterday, said Mahe Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhalakthi Police Station.

The injured is Jagat Rana, 28, of the village.

Rana was making hand bombs for using in the upcoming election to Kirtipasha Union Parishad, said his neighbour, seeking anonymity.

He was taken to Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital and then shifted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisal in a critical condition.
