Youth electrocuted

A youth was electrocuted in Joypurhat yesterday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Pintu Kumar, 20, son of Swapan Kumar of Badurtala village under Joypurhat Sadar upazila. Locals said Pintu went to switch on an electricity-run shallow machine at Tegharbisa village in the upazila at around 1:30pm to irrigate the land. He came in contact with a live wire and died on the spot.
