Worker dies in KSRM shipbreaking yard in Chattogram

A worker died at KSRM shipbreaking yard at Madambibir Hat in Chattogram's Sitakunda upazila this afternoon.

The deceased is Md Ibrahim (36) hailing from Raninagar of Naogaon district.

Abdullah Al Sakib Mubarrat, deputy inspector general of Chattogram Factory Inspection told The Daily Star that a worker died at 5:45pm on Friday.

"I am yet to know further details and sent my inspector to look into the matter," he added.

Meherul Karim, chief executive officer of KSRM told The Daily Star he does not have any updates as he is in Dhaka.
