Woman killed

A woman was killed by one of her neighbours allegedly over a trivial matter in Baufal upazila yesterday.

The deceased, Rani Begum, 55, was wife of Abul Kashem of Keshabpur village in the upazila.

Meanwhile, police detained Puspa Begum, 45, wife of Abdul Halim of the village, for her alleged involvement in the murder.

Police said Rani was sowing some gourd sapling beside the road in front of her house around 8:00am when their neighbours Halim and his wife Puspa protested it, triggering an altercation between them.
