Will suspend air communication with UK if necessary: state minister for civil aviation

Bangladesh will suspend air communication with the UK if necessary, state minister for civil aviation M Mahbub Ali said today.

"We are aware of the UK situation, regarding presence of a new strain of Covid-19 in that country. We have been observing the situation. If necessary, the government will suspend air communication with the UK," he said while talking to reporters after a programme at the Dhaka Airport.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh organised the programme titled "Security Exercise" at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Top officials of CAAB, HSIA and the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry were present at the programme.
