‘Violating electoral code of conduct’: Faridpur MP Nixon Chowdhury gets bail

A Faridpur court today granted bail to lawmaker Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury, better known as Nixon Chowdhury, in a case filed for violating the electoral code of conduct during a local election.

Faridpur District and Sessions Judge's Court Judge Selim Mollah passed the bail order today, our local correspondent reports.

Nixon, independent lawmaker from Faridpur-4, was sued on October 15 for violating electoral code of conduct during Charbhadrasan Upazila Parishad by-polls.

Faridpur district senior election officer, also the returning officer of the election, Nawabul Islam filed the case with Charbhadrasan Police Station.
