Two stalkers jailed

A mobile court sentenced two stalkers to one year's imprisonment each in Gangni upazila of Meherpur yesterday.

They are Bachchu Mia, 25, son of Obaidur Rahman, and Biplob Hossain, 22, son of Kawsar Ali of Bamandi village.

The two stalked a teenage girl when she was returning home at Mohammadpur with her father after appearing in the JSC examination.

As soon as the father protested the incident, the stalkers beat him up mercilessly, said court sources.

Hearing screams, locals caught the duo and handed them over to police.
