Two sisters among 3 commit suicide

Two sisters and a youth committed suicide at Ramnagar village and Mollapara area under sadar upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were Antara Khatun, 17, and Chaity Khatun, 14, daughters of Farhad Biswas of Ramnagar village, and Md. Abdullah, 23, of Mollapara area.

Antara was a student of Magura College while Chaity was a Class IX student at Magura Secondary School.

Police and family members said the two sisters hanged themselves in the bathroom at around 9:30pm on Friday.

Abdullah had an altercation with his wife and committed suicide on the same night at around 11:00 pm.
