Two siblings electrocuted

Two siblings died from electrocution at Sitajsingha village in Sadar upazila of Jessore district yesterday.

The deceased were identified as Torab Ali, 33, son of Akbar Ali of the village, and his sister Sabina Yeasmin, 24.

Sohrab Hossain, brother of the deceased, said Torab sustained injuries as he came in contact with a live electric wire while hanging wet clothes on a clothesline at about 7:30pm. His sister Sabina also got electrocuted when she tried to save him.

They were rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
