Two girls drown in pond

Two minor girls drowned in a pond at Kamat-Kajoldighi Chobarvita village in Panchagarh Sadar upazila yesterday. The deceased were Tuli Rani, 10, daughter of Joy Kumar, and Rahima Begum, 10, daughter of Hasibul Islam of the village. Locals said the two went to take a bath in a pond near their houses around 12:30pm and drowned.
