Truck helper electrocuted

A truck helper was electrocuted at Chalua village in Fulchhari upazila of the district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Ratan Mia, 35, of Khankasharif in Gaibandha municipal area. Locals said when a Bogra-bound truck from Fulchhari reached Chalua village, Ratan came in contact with hanging live electric wire across the road and fell onto the road. He was rushed to the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
