Three of a family electrocuted

Three members of a family were electrocuted at Uttar Dalgram village in Kaliganj upazila yesterday. The deceased are Parul Begum, 32, wife of Abdul Gafur, her son Rana Islam, 12, and daughter Ritu Akhter, 3, of the village. Police and locals said a snapped wire of Power Development Board (PDB) fell into knee deep water at a field near an irrigation pump house in the morning. Rana was electrocuted when he went into the water. At this, Parul got electrocuted when she went to save Rana with the baby girl in her arms.
