Slain militant's son gives confessional statement
Tahrim Qaderi alias Russel, son of militant Tanvir Qaderi alias Abdur Karim, who committed suicide to avoid arrest on September 10, gave confessional statement at a court in Dhaka today.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Ahsan Habib recorded the statement of Russel, 14, as investigation officer of the case and assistant superintendant of police (ASP) of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit produced him before the court.
Earlier on September 18, a juvenile court remanded him for three days.

Karim committed suicide by slitting his throat as law enforcers raided his Azimpur den. Three female militants, including the boy's mother, were arrested with self-inflicting injuries and three children were rescued from the militant hideout.
According to some sources, Russel too took part in the attack on law enforcers with a sharp weapon.
