SC scraps stay on conviction of Dr Iqbal’s family members

The Supreme Court today cancelled a High Court order that stayed the lower court verdict sentencing three years' imprisonment to former Awami League lawmaker Dr HBM Iqbal's four family members in a corruption case.

The apex court also rejected an HC rule that questioned the legality of the lower court verdict.
