Rickshaw garage owner found dead in Gazipur

Police recovered the body of a rickshaw garage owner in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur this morning.

The deceased was identified as Gias Uddin, 55, son of Abdul Malek of Bhangnahati area of the upazila, said police.

Pradip Chandra Sarker, sub-inspector of Sreepur Police Station, said some rickshaw pullers found the body of Gias lying in a cot inside his garage when they came to rent rickshaws around 6:00am.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body that bore several marks of stab injuries in the head, our Gazipur correspondent reports, quoting the police official.

The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately, added the SI.
