Rain likely in next 72 hours: Met office

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted light rain in some parts of the country in next 72 hours.

The weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 74 hours commencing at 9:00am today, the met office said in its weather forecast.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to tomorrow morning, it added.

Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may rise by (1-2) degrees Celsius throughout the country.

The sun sets at 5:18pm today and rises at 6:39am tomorrow in the capital.

The country’s maximum temperature today was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar while lowest temperature recorded at 9.2 degrees Celsius in Tentulia of Panchagarh.

Yesterday, the lowest temperature was recorded at 10.2 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda of Chattogram and highest 27.8 degrees Celsius in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar.
