Primary terminal exams begin Nov 20

Primary School Certificate (PSC) and its madrasa equivalent Ebtedayee terminal examinations will begin from November 20 with more than 32 lakh fifth graders expected to appear at the tests.

With a total of 29, 30,553 school and 2, 99,775 madrasa students registering for the tests, it is the country's largest public examination according to education officials.

The test will be held in 7,194 test centres across the country which will end on November 27, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman today briefed reporters at the secretariat auditorium.

Replying to a query whether the primary terminal examinations will be cancelled, the minister said the decision will be taken in the cabinet but he could not mention any timeframe to this end.
