PDB lineman electrocuted

A lineman of Bangladesh Power Development (PDB) in the district was electrocuted on Tuesday night. The dead is Alamgir Hossain, 45, of Bikrampur in Dhaka. Locals said Alamgir climbed an electric pole in Suihari area of the town around 11:30pm. He accidentally came in contact with a snapped live electric wire. His two aides sustained injuries when they were trying to save him. The injured are Md Mazed Ali, 35, and Abdul Hakim, 40, linemen of Dinajpur PDB. Alamgir died on the spot, said ATM Khalequzzaman, officer-in-charge of Dinajpur Police Station.
