Noakhali medical college closes sine die

Authorities of Noakhali Abdul Malek Ukil Medical College today announced to shut down indefinitely following a clash between two groups of students early on Monday. 

The decision to shut down the campus was taken at a meeting of the academic council of the institution around 11:00am, said Vice Chancellor Dr Malay Kanti Chakraborty, adding that students have been instructed to leave halls by 2:00pm tomorrow.

Earlier, two groups of students engaged in a clash over establishing supremacy on the campus around 1:00am on Monday, reports our correspondent.

At least five students were injured in the clash.
