No gazette for judges’ conduct: President
The president has decided there is no need for issuing a gazette notification on the rules determining the job discipline of the lower court judges.
A senior assistant secretary of the law ministry today issued a notification containing the president's decision.
Earlier, the Supreme Court ordered the law minister several times to finalise the rules determining the job discipline of the lower court judges and to issue a gazette notification to this effect.
On December 8, appellate division of the apex court summoned two secretaries of law ministry asking them to appear before it the next day for complying with its order of framing the rules and issuing the gazette notification.
