Newspaper hawker assaulted

A newspaper hawker was assaulted as he wanted dues from a customer at Chandimari village in Kamlabari union under Aditmari upazila of the district on Saturday.

The victim is Mehedi Hasan Liton, 26, of the village.

He lodged a complaint against the alleged attacker Samiul Islam with Aditmari Police Station yesterday, police said.

However, Samiul said he did not assault Mehedi.
