Muggers kill lawyer in Bhairab

Unidentified criminals stabbed an apprentice lawyer dead during an alleged mugging attempt at Nataler Intersection in Bhairab upazila under the district on Monday.

The deceased is Ismail Hossain Palash, 35, son of Abdul Hashim Mia, a UP member and also former president of Aganagar union unit of Awami League.

Police said a gang waylaid Palash at Nataler Intersection in the upazila and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.

He died at Bhairab Upazila Health Complex.
