Miscreants set fire to temple

Unidentified miscreants set fire to a Kali temple at Mohishjora village under Kokdohora union in Kalihati upazila of the district on Monday night.

The criminals poured kerosene on a pile of firewood kept in the temple and set fire to it at around 9:00pm, said Purno Chandra Dey, a member of the temple committee.

Locals immediately extinguished the fire before the flames could damage the temple, he added.

Being informed, a police team visited the spot and started investigation, said police.
