Man, son killed in Sirajganj

Unidentified criminals stabbed a man and his teenage son to death allegedly over previous enmity in Randhunibari area in Sirajganj's Belkuchi upazila on Tuesday night.

The deceased are Siraj Sikdar, 55, of Char-Konabari area in the upazila, and his son Saydee Sikdar, 18.

Quoting locals, Officer in Charge (OC) of Belkuchi Police Station Golam Mostafa said a group of eight to ten criminals waylaid the duo while they were returning home from Randhunibari Bazar on a motorbike around 8:00pm.

The gang stabbed them indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving them dead on the spot.

Siraj was accused in at least seven criminal case, including for murder and robbery, the OC said.
