Man murdered

Criminals killed a man at a field in Sadar upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased was identified as Based Ali, 55, of Ram Jibonpur village in the upazila. Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said locals spotted the body at the field around 2:00pm and informed the police. The law enforcers rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy. Several injury marks were found on the neck. A gang might have killed Based over previous enmity, said the OC.
