Man killed, 3 burnt in Barisal gas cylinder blast

A man was killed and three others suffered burn injuries, two of them critically, in a gas cylinder explosion in Gournadi upazila of Barisal today.

The deceased was identified as Mofazzal Paik, owner of a welding workshop in Bandar area, reports our local correspondent.

A gas cylinder of Murad Steel Works exploded when the workers were working at the workshop this afternoon, leaving four people with burn injuries, said Md Alauddin, officer-in-charge of Gournadi Police Station.

Mofazzal succumbed to his injuries at Barisal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital after three of the injured were admitted to the hospital, he added.
