Man held with fake notes

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a young man with fake notes worth Tk 50,000 from Bolidapara village in Kaliganj upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The arrestee is Humayun Kabir, 37, son of late Moksed Ali of Caprail village in the upazila.

Rafiqul Islam, sub-inspector of Jhenidah DB police, said a police team, acting on a tip-off, raided the area around 5:00pm and arrested Humayun along with 40 notes of Tk 1000 and 20 notes of Tk 500.

A case was filed in this connection.
