Man hacked to death

A man was hacked to death by rivals in Sadar upazila of the district on Monday. The deceased is Delwar Sheikh, 60, of Purbo Kadamtawla village. Family sources said Delwar and his brother Babul Sheikh, 55, went out of house following a phone from an unknown caller around 9:30pm. Later, they were found injured at a garden near their home. The two were rushed to Pirojpur Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctors declared Delwar dead. Police arrested one Nasir Sheikh, son of late Jalil Sheikh of the area, in this connection, said SP Md Walid Hossain.
