Man electrocuted

A man died from electrocution at Hartakitola village in Sadar upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased was Abdul Mazid Mithu, 45, son of Abdul Malek of the village. Deceased's father said Mithu came in contact with live electricity while he was trying to switch on a water pump at his paddy field in the afternoon. Family members rushed him Mithu to Nilphamari Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead, Officer-in-Charge Babul Akhter of Sadar Police Station said.
