Man dies as trawler sinks

A man died as a trawler capsized in the Dharam water body under Dharampasa upazila of Sunamganj district yesterday.

The dead is Abdus Sattar, 60, of Betagora village. Police said the trawler carrying at least 20 people started for Betagora village in the morning.

When the trawler reached middle of the water body, it suddenly capsized after being hit by strong current amid heavy nor'wester.

Later, a rescue team recovered Sattar's body from the water. However, others managed to swim ashore.
