Man dies in boat capsize

A farmer died as a boat capsized in Shilchanda water body under Goainghat upazila of Sylhet district on Sunday. The deceased is Intaj Miah, 45, son of late Monfar Ali of Nandirgaon village. Locals said a group of farmers went to the beel area for harvesting paddy on Sunday. When they were returning home by a boat, it capsized. Intaj went missing. However, other managed to swim ashore. Yesterday morning, locals recovered the body from the beel, said Delwar Hosain, officer-in-charge of Goainghat Police Station.
