Madrasa teacher jailed for sexually harassing girl in Ctg

A madrasa teacher was sentenced to one-month imprisonment by a mobile court today for sexually harassing a female student of Chittagong University.

Md Jamal Uddin, a teacher of Baitun Mamun Madrasa, sextually harassed a female student of the CU while she was going to the campus this afternoon, said Samrat Khisha, executive magistrate, also assistant commissioner (Land) of Hathazari Upazila.

According to the victim, a man boarded on the bus and sat beside her and after few minutes, he started touching her intentionally.

“As I sought help, passengers of the bus caught him and handed him over to Hathazari Police Station,” she added.
