Loanee dies as NGO takes 2 cows

Hearing the news that an NGO had taken two cows from his house for failing to pay the loan installments, an ill school teacher could not bear the shame and passed away in the hospital bed.

Santosh Kumar Basak, 63, a school teacher from Naogaon was undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for old age complications.   

Shatodal Kumar Basak son of the victim said, "On December 12, when we told my father that the NGO called Neer Setu had taken two cows from the house, he became upset, and died soon after."
