Lightning kills 3 boys

Three teenage boys were killed by lightning in Companiganj upazila of Sylhet district yesterday morning.

The deceased are Imran Hossain, 15, son of Tajul Hossain, Selim Hossain, 14, son of Sobhan Khan, and Nabi Khan, 15, son of Nurul Islam of Khaergaon village in the upazila.

A thunderbolt struck the trio when they went to catch fish in Rawti Beel during rain around 7:30am.

They died on the spot, said the officer-in-charge of Companiganj Police Station.
