Star Online Report

A Liberation War memorial sculpture was covered with black cloth in Bogura town today, as the nation celebrates Victory Day.

Some people, led by Bogura district Jubo League unit President Shuvashish Poddar Liton, covered the sculpture around 3:00pm, reports our Bogura correspondent.

While talking to The Daily Star, Shuvashish said that they did it as the sculpture had been "distorted" while renovation.

"It was broken when a truck hit it in 2016," he said. After renovation, the stature did not look like before, he added.
