Star Online Report

Rail communication of Khulna with the rest of the country has been restored after five hours following derailment of a freight train at Singia Railway Station in Jessore Sadar upazila early today.

Four bogies of the stone-laden train veered off the tracks when it was crossing Singia station around 5:00am, our Jessore correspondent reports quoting Stationmaster of Jessore Railway Station Kushab Kundu said.

The train service resumed around 10:00am after a rescue train from Khulna rushed to the spot and salvaged the derailed bogies, said Saidujjaman, assistant station master of the rail station.
