Jute ministry forms committee over reopening of BJMC’s closed mills

The Ministry of Textiles and Jute formed a nine-member inter-ministerial working committee to examine and consider the proposal received for re-introducing BJMC's closed mills under private management on lease basis.

The ministry issued an order in this regard yesterday, said a press release.

The additional secretary (administration) of the ministry has been made convener of the committee.

Other members of the committee are representatives of the Prime Minister's Office, additional secretary (Jute) of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, representatives of Finance Department, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority and Executive Director of Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC).
