Indigenous youth murdered

Criminals killed an indigenous youth in Thanchi upazila of the district early yesterday. The dead is Moshi Tripura, 28, a resident of Laxmi Ram Tripura Para in the upazila. Police and family sources said a gang of 10 stormed the house of Moshi at around 1:00am and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. On information, police and BGB personnel rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for autopsy. The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately, said family members. A case was filed in connection with the incident, said Thanchi police.
