Indian clothes seized

Members of Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) seized a covered van carrying Indian clothes and fabrics from Amrakhali check post area in Sharsha upazila of Jessore district on Tuesday night. On secret information, a team of BGB men raided the area and seized the clothes and fabrics worth about Tk 4.50 crore. However, the smugglers managed to flee the scene, sensing the presence of the border guards, said Lt Col M Jahangir Hossain of BGB-26 Battalion. A case was filed in this connection, he said.
