Housewife found dead

The hanging body of a housewife was recovered from her husband's house at Paschim Bhyoronshahi village under the municipality in Dhunat upazila of the district around 1:00pm on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Shammi Akhtar, 28, wife of Shafiqul Islam of the village. Police, quoting the victim's family members, said she locked in an altercation with her husband on Tuesday night. Family members found her body hanging from the ceiling of her room at around 10:00am on Wednesday and informed the police. Police recovered the body at around 1:00pm and sent it to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy. An unnatural death case was lodged with the police station in the afternoon.
