Girl missing in boat capsize

A schoolgirl went missing as a trawler capsized in the Matian water body under Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj district on Monday. The victim is Sharmin Akhter Tuli, 12, daughter of Muhib Uddin of Puranbazar village in the upazila, and a Class VI student of Hazi Elahi Box High school. Police said when the trawler carrying Tuli with other passengers reached deep water in the haor, it suddenly capsized in the strong current during a nor'wester. Tuli went missing. However, other passengers managed to swim ashore.
